English language courses for children aged 7 to 17 years
Language schools in the UK is a unique opportunity for children and teenagers to learn the local culture and history, relax, socialise with peers from all over the world and most importantly – master the language in English-speaking environment.
Language schools operate on the basis of elite private boarding schools and leading UK universities which have developed infrastructure and guarantee high level of security during the course.
The course combines group English language exercises (16 hours per week) with variety of tours around the UK as well as sports and other leisure activities.
Upon arrival children are tested for proficiency in English. According to the test results children are allocated into appropriate learning groups. Each child has assigned supervisor to control the learning progress. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm. Particular attention during the classes is given to proper pronunciation and the development of communication skills.
In the afternoon children are offered excursions, various sports activities (tennis, football, volleyball, cricket, swimming, archery) and entertainment (dancing, music, painting, picnics, and theatre productions).
All children live in residences on school property, sharing bedroom with 1, 3 or 5 others. Room placements aim to bring together children from different countries to encourage them speaking English only and influence general communication skills. Children are offered 3 meals a day and can also purchase juice, fruit and sweets for a little extra money.
Transfer and air flight
All schools arrange a transfer from the airport to school and from school to the airport for a surcharge. Most international airlines provide services to accompany children aged 5-16 who travel without parents. An airline representative takes the child from parents at the departure airport and control meeting of the child at the destination airport. The cost of such service is €100. The service must be booked at the time of booking tickets.
